Co-founder

Mark is a co-founder of AI Rail Labs and the creator of the PTAD device. He has over fifteen years of experience working in startups as well as large corporations such as Microsoft. Initially a University of Waterloo drop-out, Mark co-founded an award-winning market research company in Toronto, integrating several open source technologies to create one of the industry’s first end-to-end open source fieldwork applications. He has also been featured in local media and is a published author. Mark is currently the founder at Innovation Research Group, an entity involved in several pre-seed AI startups in Canada and the US.

Matthew Lui

Matthew is a founding member of AI Rail Labs. He has over a decade of experience in a variety of technology and strategy-focused roles in the Financial Services and Technology industries. As a former consultant for Deloitte, he has supported several high-profile M&A transactions in North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. He has also had meaningful impact in his community, and has held positions on the Board of Directors for the Palliative Care Network for York Region and the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation. Matthew holds an MBA from Ivey Business School, where he graduated with distinction. He also earned a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Health, Safety and Environmental professional with over 30 years of experience in performing Health, Safety and Environmental functions such as leadership, strategy, risk management, cultural transformation, auditing and accident investigation within mining, engineering, construction, and nuclear industries. Possess a strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Engineering legal requirements, including ability to implement and interpret application within real life situations. Certified in Occupational Health and Safety (CRSP), Risk Management (FRM) and as Engineering Technologist. (CET).
